We offer Andalusian handicraft workshops in Granada.

Tiling

Participants cut clay pieces by hand using traditional moulds, learn the glazing technique and how to assemble the tiles under the guidance of a specialist craftsman. At the end of the workshop, each participant takes home an authentic tile cloth. Size: 17 x 17 cm

Polychrome plaster

Each participant chooses a plaster replica of the Alhambra, made from a mould. The piece is then prepared for decoration: paint to fill in the cracks and gold leaf for the protruding reliefs.

Chessboard

A chessboard is made from taracea (inlaid wood from Granada) using the techniques of Granada craftsmen. The apprentice draws a geometric figure on a wooden base. The different materials are then measured, cut and glued together. When the work is finished, the piece is varnished. Each participant will take home their own chessboard. Size: 25 x 25 cm
